About the Author
William Powell has served as an international school educator for the past 30 years in the United States, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Indonesia, and Malaysia. From 1991 to 1999, he served as the chief executive officer of the International School of Tanganyika in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and from 2000 to 2006, he served�as headmaster of the International School of Kuala Lumpur. He is the coauthor, with his wife Ochan, of Count Me In! Developing Inclusive International Schools (2000) and Making the Difference: Differentiation in International Schools (2007), Becoming an Emotionally Intelligent Teacher (2010) and How to teach now: Five Keys to Personalized Learning in the Global Classroom (2011). Bill's most recent book is entitled The OIQ Factor: How teachers can raise the Organizational Intelligence of Schools (2013).� Bill and Ochan are currently working on a project, The Next Frontier: Inclusion to support the inclusion of special needs children in international schools. They are focusing their attention on teacher professional development, school leadership and governance training and serve as consultants for Education Across Frontiers.� When he is not facilitating teacher workshops or speaking at conferences, Bill can be found in the French Pyrenees where he fights (together with a handful of sheep) an annual battle with the European bramble.

Ochan Kusuma-Powell is cofounder and director of Education Across Frontiers, an organization that promotes teacher education toward the development of professional learning communities. A graduate of Columbia University with a doctorate in international education development, she has more than 30 years experience in international education. Kusuma-Powell has developed and implemented inclusive special education programs in the United States, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Tanzania. She has been an outspoken advocate for children with special needs globally. Together with her husband Bill, she coauthored an OSAC publication entitled Count Me In! Developing Inclusive International Schools and Making the Difference: Differentiation in International Schools. Kusuma-Powell is also the author of Parent Advocacy in International School. She is a trainer for the Teachers Training Center and an adjunct faculty member at Lehigh University and the State University of New York at Buffalo.

but I feel like if you want to read a short concise book ...

First off let me say I am not Orthodox, I am not even close, but I feel like if you want to read a short concise book on thinking about the human relationship with a Higher Power this is a wonderful choice. I am not vastly educated in Torah study, Hebrew or anything else that you may assume that a reader of this book would know about- but I found this book easy to understand and very interesting.

A Formula for Proper Living

Dr. Twerski, once again, has provided us with insights from the Jewish religion as well as how the teachings are still applicable to living in the 21st century. After completing the book, I gave it to a dear friend who is passing it on to her friends. I feel so fortunate to be able to say that I have met Dr.Twerski and have had the extreme honor of hearing him speak. I have read his book, Do Unto Others, several times and reading it always provides inspiration and motivation to me. I give the book to all the special people I know. What else can I say? God Bless Dr.Twerski to all he has given me and all of his lifetime accomplishments for so many others.

Excellent

Wonderful book. It is very well written (like all rabbi Twerski's books), the concepts are deep but easy to understand. Comments and material are extremely useful and "doable" to put them in practice. It is a book that one can refer to often. And I love the fact that it is based on the Torah.

The Most Entertaining Novel in the Icewind Dale Trilogy

First off, this is the conclusion of the Icewind Dale Trilogy. I would strongly recommend reading the first two novels in the series, The Crystal Shard and Streams of Silver, to truly enjoy this book. This story picks up with Artemis Entreri, running off with Regis from Mithral Hall, the halfling, to return him to Pasha Pook the leader of the largest thieves' guild in Calimport. Drizzt and friends chase after Entreri to save Regis from the almost certain death that awaits him in Calimport. The plot is pretty straight forward, but there are definitely enough complications to keep it interesting.
I really enjoyed this book and thought it was the best book in the trilogy. The Halfling's Gem regains the continuous fast paced adventure that was lost in part of Streams of Silver. I found the supporting characters in this book much better conceived and interesting. The battle scenes in the boat and at Pasha Pook's palace were at least as good as any of the battle scenes in the other two books. Also Drizzt's attempt to find himself and what he stands for really progresses in this book. This continues in the Dark Elf Trilogy, which occurred before he reached Icewind Dale, but was written after the Icewind Dale Trilogy. All in all the writing in this novel has really improved from the first two books. This same quality continues through the rest of the Drizzt series. I whole-heartedly recommend this novel for the entertaining fast paced read that it is.

This book is what reading is all about.

First let me say that each book in this trilogy is great but that this is the one that makes the whole trilogy very special. Drizzt struggles with what he might have become and continually searches for what he is. I love the Drizzt monologues at the beginning of each book and that's just one detail that all adds up to make this book one to read over and over. Sure, some of the stuff is predictable but the characters and ideals they struggle for are what bring magic to this one. As you get older you get very cynical. This book may not change that but it reminds you of the things you used to very strongly believe in. Not in a campy way either but through the trials the characters go through and the theme of the book. In this sense, The Halfling's Gem reminds us of what is important like friends and respecting people. It also constantly entertains like few others. Don't miss!

Dennis W. Organ is Professor of Management at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. He has taught at all program levels (undergraduate, MBA, doctoral, executive education) in the areas of organizational behavior, human resource management, cross-cultural management, research methods, and seniors honors seminars. He coauthored four editions of a textbook, Organizational Behavior: An Applied Psychological Approach, as well as four editions of a companion volume of readings, The Applied Psychology of Work Behavior. Since 1988, he has authored or coauthored more than 20 journal articles and book chapters on the topic of OCB.

Organ is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and a member of the Academy of Management and the American Psychological Society. He was Book Review Editor for the Academy of Management Review and since 1994 has served as Editor of Business Horizons, which received an Anbar Golden Page award in 1998 for excellence in the area of strategic management applications

Philip M. Podsakoff is a Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, and holder of the John F. Mee Chair of Management, at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Professor Podsakoff presently serves on the Board of Editors of Journal of Applied Psychology and Leadership Quarterly. He has received over 26 teaching awards at all levels, including a national teaching fellowship; five university-wide teaching awards; the Max Barney Teaching Excellence Award in Executive Education; nine MBA Teaching Excellence Awards; two Doctoral Student Association Exceptional Inspiration and Guidance Awards; and four undergraduate awards for teaching excellence. .

Scott B. Mackenzie is Professor of Marketing and holder of the Neal Gilliat Chair at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. At the doctoral level Professor MacKenzie teaches courses in structural equation modeling, research methods, consumer behavior, and several special topics seminars. At the undergraduate and masters levels he teaches advertising and consumer behavior.

Professor MacKenzie is a former winner of the Harold H. Maynard Award for distinguished contributions to the marketing discipline; has chaired the AMA Summer and Winter Educators' conferences, and the SCP conference; and currently serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, and the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science.

Most Important Book I have ever Read

This book has opened my eyes to things that I suspected intuitively but had no basis in hard fact to corroborate. This book is the number one best book I have ever read for total body, soul and spirit health. A must read for every human on the planet. I am going to buy several copies to give to family and friends with the prayer that they will read it and be at peace to discover the jewels of wisdom that Bill Gothard once again has delivered to the world. Thank God for Bill Gothard and his ministry a man truly after God's heart.

Fine Read for those seeking bibilical references to Stress and its mitigation

The author has done a very nice job of discussing several factors that play into stress, and providing (biblical) references as to how one might go about mitigating these. Though components of physiology are mentioned (eg, "the effects of guilt on the Nerve System" and other similiar sub-headings), the text is still for the layman (I got excited at the prospect of further details, but alas no exact neuro-physiological pathways nor spinal tracts are mentioned which is FINE, I just couldn't help my neurologically-curious bent due to my background ;-) ) The paper quality is top notch, and the Hard Cover edition makes for a fine coffee table text. If you enjoy the text, you might check out his Basic Seminar. A friend let me peruse it, and it was of interest as well.
