Hussein Nasser is an Esri award-winning senior GIS solution architect working in the GIS field since 2006. He is the author of three books in the ArcGIS technology: Administering ArcGIS for Server, Learning ArcGIS Geodatabases, and Building Web Applications with ArcGIS, all by Packt Publishing. In 2007, he won the first place at the annual ArcGIS Server Code Challenge, conducted at the Esri Developer Summit in Palm Springs, California. In 2014, he started the IGeometry YouTube channel, where he periodically publishes educational GIS videos.

Excellent Book

I highly recommend this book not only for ArcGIS Developers of all levels but also for students and GIS Analysts who want to get more knowledge in the topic of developing applications for ArcGIS using ArcObjects.
The book was published recently and the author uses the latest ArcGIS release at this time which is 10.3. The examples are written for the Visual Basic version of Visual Studio .NET and although I am not a developer I have been able to adapt the examples from the book in some applications we are building at work.
The author goes from simple examples to intermediate and more advanced applications that can be easily applied to your daily flow of work. I particularly found interesting the application in chapter 4 “Real Time Maneuvering” where a person is been tracked through the GPS signal of a cell phone and the distance from this person to a control tower is updated in real time to finally calculate signal strength.
The author hosts a channel in Youtube called IGeometry where he has published a big amount of videos in the topic of ArcObjects and that He keeps up to date with new releases of videos. You can reach him with question and most of the time He answers shortly.
